If the Douro is considered the gold ring of Portugal, Quinta da Roêda is the diamond.
Come and taste Croft, one of the most famous of all Porto’s wine producing houses. Founded in 1588, it is the oldest Port wine company. Particularly known for its Vintage Port wines, Croft also has a wide range of wines from Port Tawny (aged in wood).
All these styles endure in time thanks to the skill and experience that has been handed down from generation to generation. However, despite its rich heritage and history over four centuries, Croft has never let itself be limited by its tradition. Today, as in the past, it maintains a pioneering spirit, continuing to create innovative styles, such as Croft Pink, the first rosé port wine.
Behind the great winemakers there is always a great vineyard. One of the fundamental aspects of the Croft house is the famous Quinta da Roêda, described as the true diamond of the Douro’s farms! The wines from this magical estate, which contains some of the oldest vineyards in the Douro region, form the basis of the Croft Vintage Port wine batch.
